Mike and others, I mainly fish Lake Murray and we are having all kinds of problems right now with water temp. What we are doing is buying bait at Better Bait and getting cold well water to start with, but we are NOT adding ice to keep them cool. We let the water warm during the day and add some bait keeper when it starts turning cloudy. We are finding that our bait lives longer in the afternoon (after being put on the hook) than when we were adding ice. Temps in Murray are still 80+ degrees at 30 feet with virtually no Do2 below that. Mr Ed
