I went out one afternoon last week on the upper end. Saw nothing in Pistol Creek, found 6 boats pulling planers and freelining the mouth of Fishing Creek, only fish I saw caught during my 30 minutes there was the 1.5 lb striper we boated. Back near Bobby Brown we saw gulls dipping and found a few small hybrids to 2 lbs and lots of white perch beneath them. Pretty slow until the end of the day. But no big fish seen up here. This morning I drove to Russell Dam, half a dozen folks on pier casting with no success, three boats milling about downstream...did not see any fish but lots of diving gulls.
