Cut bait fishing works year round. I look for fish in the same places that I would in the Spring. Me and my buddys have caught several 20 up to 45 pounders in water temps ranging from 50-45 deg. When the fish get lazy in cold water it makes good sence to use a slow approach and it dont get much slower than cut bait fishin.
