Totally agree with you fellas. This site and the CF/MSC Forum used to be THE places to learn about Striper fishing. I would say possibly the best in the nation. Great fishing reports, new techniques, and great fish stories and pictures (MSC on the pics- never have gotten the pics to work on SB). These sites made me want to fish! Now it's just not the same. The only reason I saw this post today was because I wanted to see if my Favorites link still worked.

So everyone is on Facebook now, huh? Well.. I am one of the FB holdouts and guess I will just have to miss out. I almost joined to sell a vehicle on the FB MArketPlace because everyone said it's THE place now to sell stuff, but Craigslist made a remarkable recovery and I sold my truck in 2 days.

But to reminisce about this site and CF/MSC Forum for a second, for anyone who doesn't remember it when it was cool...these sites were made by some of the best Striper fisherman ever to make their own egg sinkers. Original Striper Kings and MSC members who have forgotten more about Linesider fishing than I will ever learn on my own. Those guys could weave a story as well as they could land a 30lber. I was fortunate to meet one of those old guys and now call him my close friend by meeting him here. He taught me a lot about fishing and a lot about life.

To the reader who wants to know why I am not contributing amazing posts right now instead of bitching...the truth is I haven't wet a line all year. Life has gotten in the way and I have other pursuits at the moment. But rest assured, I HAVE contributed when I had something to add and I still enjoy seeing what folks are doing in the fishing world on Hartwell and Murray. However, it doesn't appear I will find that on here anymore. Not unless a few active fisherman realize we are about to lose a great resource for good, and start posting something other than stuff for sale.
