What? I release all my fish in hopes they can continue to grow. Of course the guides loading up coolers with micro fish is a huge problem! It sounds like we are on the same side of the argument here but then you start promoting people keeping 12 inch fish so itís a bit hypocritical. I realize you are only weighing two fish but I guarantee you that people will put the first two 12Ē plus fish they catch in the cooler and continue to try and upgrade through the day. Puny number or not , itís like littering in the Highway, it all adds up my friend.
Iím in favor of a 2 fish limit and have been for years. The limit has always been 2 in Tennessee and their fishing is off he charts good. Sure they lose populations due to O2 stress and gill maggots like we do but at least their lakes can recover from it and their fish can grow when conditions are good.
I see your posts (and appreciate them) in the summer letting us know when the fish are under O2 stress. You obviously realize the lake has issues. It just seems like a very odd move if you are a conservation minded club.
