Sure. I release every fish I catch immediately and I take a kid fishing every weekend. We fish purely for fun, I don't fish tournaments. I'm sure I have fish mortality too but I can guarantee you it's far less than the 60 plus % mortality of your tournaments.

My Dad was also the one who made repeated calls to GA and SC to encourage the lower limits on Lake Russell to try to protect the mature fish there. He was encouraging a tag system of one fish per year like a trophy buck. The two fish limit has allowed that fishery to continue to be damaged as well.

Dad and I were early members of the Striper Kings back in 1980 when it was about learning more about the fishery and sharing information. Once tournaments started little cliques formed and every meeting was a bunch of arguments over tournament rules. When they wouldn't get behind lowering the rediculous 10 fish limits on Hartwell and Clarks Hill we were done.

I'm smart enough to realize that the situation at hartwell was not caused by keeping fish, it was summer fish kills. But now that the fishery has colapsed encouraging the keeping of runts is rediculous. I talked to several other fisherman today that were appallled when they heard about your new rule.
