1st thing I want to say is . If you don't know that clarkshill already has a oxygen line in it , you need to go find you something else to do besides to sit and tell concerned fishermen something you have no idea what you are talking about ! The oxygen line was being placed in chill in 2009 at a cost of tax payers at almost 13, million dollars . 2nd .. raising money and lobbing to get DNR to do anything to help change the laws on the books is also a waiste of time . I have been a member of striper kings for almost 19 years . Between the 3 striper clubs in sc , they have raised and donated millions of dollars over the years and DNR has done nothing to change the creel limits on the hill and hartwell .and no plans from what I hear to do so in the future. and yes on clarks hill fishing pressure and lack of honest stocking rates has killed the lake and that was before the fish kill . That was the breaking point . Hart well held its on . Fishing pressure didn't show as much damage as the drought . Weather was hartwells biggest hit . For these oxygen lines .. on these 2 lakes 3 if we include Russell is just a waiste in tax payers money . Yes the fish love it . But have thrived since day one with out em . In my opinion a 5 fish creel limit only would have been the best solution. I started bitching back in 2005 about this and people thought I was crazy . But they see what I was talking about now . So good luck to anyone that tries to get something done . Greed is the biggest thing that you will have to hurdle . Good luck !
