"A five fish limit would greatly increase the potential for fish to grow." Mark - I will tell you again that this statement has no scientific validity whatsoever. The root cause of your inability to catch trophy & teen stripers is due to repeated fish kills caused by OXYGEN DEPRIVATION, not a handful of guides catching 20-30 dinks at a time. If you really want to catch big stripers you should start raising money and lobbying our lawmakers to install oxygen infusers in ClarksHill. Pure oxygen in the summer months will ensure the SURVIVABILITY rate, especially for larger stripers. Reducing the creel limit will NOT increase the relative size or number of fish in a lake that size, any more than wearing your lucky hat will help your chances of catching "the big one." And why five? Why not eight, or two? Why do you propose a five-fish limit? Is this based on decades of scientific research, or did this number come out of a hat? What you propose impacts many, many people. You still think it's the guides. I'm saying the fish can't breathe, so they die. I suggest you address the problem scientifically, rather than superstitiously.
