Helix doesn't mark such a clear arch. Lowrance is a clearer arch. That doesn't mean it marks better. Just means it's projection is a different mark. It's more about you learning to read what you see. That's with every manufacturer. They are all a little different. Personally I'm not impressed with the fish finding of the helix. It's easy to use. The lowrance has a slow processor. That I hated. Basically renders the mapping useless at high speeds when your zoomed in. Plus it takes longer to load. I went with a different manufacturer in that same price range. My opinion would be to move to the next level. Save money and get the next level up unit. Lowrance or hummingbird. The biggest reason those are cheaper is power and processor speed. Just like your computer at home.
