Agree that the spots can be a pain when they start pecking on things and skinning baits, but I do doubt the problems with striper in Hartwell are related to the spots though. I would blame water quality and temp, along with dissolved o2 levels before I would blame the spots. When they allowed the tissue plant to pull a 2.4 million gallons from the lake daily I think it had to have an adverse affect on the lake. It would be interesting to see a study done on the quality of the water pre-plant versus post plant. In my opinion it negatively affected both Hartwell and the upper end of Russell as the water the plant puts back which is treated water (who knows what that means) is only 500,000 gallons a day and it goes into the upper end of Russell.
