Yes I do like to use chum and alot of it. It dose have a down side, sometimes you will also draw in catfish and turtles.For that reason I never chum a hole a day before fishing it or as a means to try to keep stripers in an area. Also I like to cut the chum up in small pieces or grind it with a hamburger grinder because stripers do feed on the chum and may get full of your attractant instead of your bait. If you will check out the old message board you will find lots of talk about the use of chum .
