I went out this morning in spite of the cold wind...BRRR!! Air temp was 35 (not sure what the wind chill was) when I launched at 7 am and only 45 when I had to come in at 11. I fished about halfway up the Tugaloo and found some bait about halfway back in the creeks. I picked up one fish at 23 ft on a jigging spoon and one on a downlined herring about 30 ft down. I dragged a balloon around but no takers. Water temp was 52.5. But the wind was unbearable. Not only did it freeze my cheeks and make boat handling a real chore, but it constantly blew me off the bait/fish schools after I marked them! But as I left I graphed the biggest school of the day but had no chance to fish them. So I'll be back for sure. And I agree with you 100% about helping each other..how else are we going to figure these frigid fish out?
