There are some good articles on keeping bait alive at
Fishin Fools instruction to Catching and Maintaining Live Bait and
FAQLiveBait. Every striper fishermen I know, who has used
one of Ron Vest's "Super Bait Tanks" by Livewell Systems, Inc.
agrees that they are the best tanks for blueback herring. These tanks have an air injection system and filter system that works so
well that you can keep more herring per galloon than you can in other tanks. They are also very well made tanks.
