Joe Griswold Classic Saturday
I tried to follow what I believe was Joes example of fellowship and pure enjoyment of the sport of striped bass fishing and fished with someone I had never fished with, and ended up having as good a time fishing as I have ever had. I fished with Otho and Rex McLaughlin and these guys are not only good fishermen, they are great fishing companions. Otho and Rex, I and had a great time let's do it again!
Joes spirit was surely present at the weigh-in as his family and many friends were present to greet everyone participating, as well as, those coming to view the weigh-in. Mrs. Griswold, his brother (Man they sure do look a lot alike), and his sons (David and Mike)were present to congratulate the winners and thank everyone for being there. Mike Griswold was the weigh-in announcer. There were some good fish caught on live bait and on cut bait. I am sure Scott Whitmire will post the results soon.
I would like to thank Scott Whitmire and Jordan River Outfitter's for putting on this event and to the Griswold family for continuing to share with us Joe's love of the sport that we love so much and hope this becomes an annual event!
