If you plan to use it primarly for blueback herring you'll need and oval or round tank with a good, easy to clean filtration system and a good airation system. Air injection by a venturi is best. but any air injection is better than the old spray header. If it has corners, even rounded corners, the bait will bump into the walls. they need tank walls that make them turn slowly. It will need to be well insulated for summertime use. Herring cannot take warm water.
