I would have to disagree...i've caught several bronzebacks out of Hartwell over the years. I've caught 'em off of plastic worms,spinner baits, & blueback herring. And no they were not spots or redeyes...they were smallmouth bass. Caught one down near the damn last fall on the GA side of the river channel off of a blueback. That fish probably weighed 2 1/2 to 3 lbs. I thought it was a hybrid until we got 'em in the boat. Don't have any pictures, but i do have witnesses.
