Most generators have a 12v charging outlet. While I am running the lights etc. just hook the battery charger up. The bait tank is "pulling" a little amperage but the generator is recharging at a rate that is equal to or better than.
That adds several hours to battery charge. No matter what setup if you run pumps 24 hours without any charge back in, dead battery. Maybe another battery to switch over to is your best bet??
