The venturi is the best thing to use. The bases with the a injection does not work as good as the venturi. I switched all my pumps over to the Danco venturi,and love it. The venturi will help keep you from burning up the pumps, and they dont make the sucking grinding noise the air injection basses make. All my pumps are SHURFLO pumps, (2)750gph in my 100gallon tank, 1000gallon pumps in each of my tubes, and 500gph in my two 50gallon tank.
