Bait aerater batteries

I have been using a small rechargable 12 volt battery for my bait. The problem is, it only last about 3 hours and then gives out. Would a lawnmower or motorcylce battery be better? Or should I buy a small car battery? I don't keep bait for long, just one fishing trip at a time. Thanks for any help.
