I grew up in Iva and we called them 'Bud Halls' and 'Government Bream'. I read somewhere that it takes several years for one of them to reach 1 lb. They sure are good eatin'. I wonder if there was some government project that caused them to get thier nicknames. Just to make this a legal post, they aren't as much fun to catch as stripers ;-)
