Thursday was our first time on Hartwell since September.
We the 123 bridge and coal pile, and up Coneross Creek to the bridge. Marked lots of bait and good fish both places. We fished down rods and free-lines, got several strikes but they didn't hold the bait (one strike on a chunk of cut bait). We were using herring from Garrett's, I suspect it was larger than the bait schools. Anybody have any suggestions for conditions like this? Where are the schools of larger bait?
