I have an assortment of 5500's and one old 6000c that I use for down roads and cutbaiting. For freelines, I have 2 Shakespeare Intrepid spinning reels along with 2 Shimanos. I explained why I use these in an earlier post. I like 7'6" Ugly sticks with my baitcasting equipment, and I like my one Wonder Rod for live baiting. Unlike most of the fishermen who use this board, my line is on the light side year round- 10 and 12lb. test and sometimes 8. I use 1 ounce egg sinkers for most all applications and 1/o to #1 kahle hooks. I used to go as high as 3/0 until I found that the live baits were getting hooked on themselves causing missed fish.
