Haven't been there in awhile. However, I would suggest using shiners or catching gizzard and threadfin shad. The shad can be caught in the day. Go to shallow water for the gizzard shad, and to the junction of the Reedy River for the threadfins. The shiners (large) may work just as well. I wouls start out near the state park ramp.
