You can hook up a rig just as you would for live bait down rodding including...
a slip sinker,leader,swivel,and bead.
Just determine the depth that you want ot fish...
[let out line and tie the balloon on using a slip knot and loop your line so it will pop free when you get a strike]
and let it drift away...
You can also troll using this method.
